Re: This.
“Since her appointment as Governor General of Canada, my wife, Michaëlle Jean, and I have had the pleasure of welcoming several members of the Royal Family to Rideau Hall, notably His Royal Highness The Prince of Wales and his wife, The Duchess of Cornwall, with whom we got along quite well. The current allegations are completely unfounded, given that we warmly welcomed Her Majesty The Queen and His Royal Highness The Duke of Edinburgh right before we left Canada for our visit to China, and wished them not only a wonderful visit to the country, but also a lovely stay at Rideau Hall. And it was in that same spirit that we bid them farewell in Toronto upon our return from China, and that, with great appreciation, we received their tokens of friendship. I therefore vehemently deny the insulting and ill-intentioned remarks that have been attributed to me.”
The ball is in your court David. Did he say what you allege or did he not? If this is going to be the same old same old with Sun TV News you will not get me watching it. I am looking for politics to be reported differently in Canada. This tells me nothing is going to change. Are you sure you made the right decision leaving Global?
When is Harper going to fire Dimitri Soudas, the “source,” who has screwed up dozens of times before?
David, I think you are going to learn very quickly that the unwritten rule in the Canadian media that media outlets don't criticize each other or point out their mistakes is thrown out the window very quickly when your transgressions don't involve slagging Conservatives like usual. You may very well regret the career choice you've made, because every mistake from now on will be used to discredit you and your new employer.
