When they move out of the Parliament Hill offices reserved for Opposition politicians and their staffers, the Conservatives will leave the rooms completely empty except for the furniture and a small box of files. The small box of files will be left behind for the Liberals who will now occupy the Opposition benches.
This small box of files, I am reliably informed by my Conservative moles, will be labelled “SECRET HIDDEN AGENDA” and, once they open them up, the Liberal staffers who inherit these Conservative offices, will find all seven volumes of the Gomery Inquiry.
Att: David:
I saw you and Galloway on Mike Duffy Live and once again you were talking about the Conservatives candidates hiding during the election. First of all the leader speaks on national issues. You guys really aren't interested in what local candidates have to say other than if you can get them to take positions which will make news.
What is it with you reporters? I don't recall seeing you and the rest of the press gallery running around and trying to track down social conservatives in the Liberal party. If this was done during the election for both parties then I would say it was part of the game. However, what it tells me you guys wanted to catch the conservatives saying stuff that would inflame the electorate. Hardly fair and balanced reporting. In view of the reporting the media would have done I don't blame them for “hiding”. Let's get off this bandwagon and start reporting on important issues. Most Canadians don't live their lives thinking about same sex marriage and abortion. It is only the media that wants to talk about these two hot button issues. Harper made his position clear regardless of what individual candidates have to say.
