Users of Apple's OS X.x operating will want to grab Search Google, a terrifically handly little freeware
utility. Search Google adds a new 'Service' called, erm, “Search Google” and
…, well, I'll get out of the way and let its authors explain:
About SearchGoogle.service
Select some text, hit a key combination, get Google, iTunes Music Store, or
amazon.com results.
SearchGoogle.service is context-aware. If you select text in Xcode,
developer.apple.com is searched instead of google.
For me the great thing is you can use the keyboard to activate this service.
That's always been my biggest beef with any Apple software: I'm forced to
grab my mouse to much when I'd rather just use the keyboard.
