BQ Defence critic Claude Bachand is speaking. He is the only BQ member in the House. In fact, as soon as O'Connor finished speaking, many members left. As I write, 45 minutes into the five hours scheduled for the debate, there are precisley 14 Tories (O'connor included), 10 Liberals, 1 BQ and 20 NDPers here. Layton arrived a few minutes ago. Of some note, there are only 29 NDP MPs. Apparently this debate was important to that caucus.
