University of Western Ontario makes presidents of the Liberal Party of Canada

This is now beyond coincidence.

Mike Crawley was just elected President of Liberal Party of Canada.

Through playing an active role on local campaigns, leading the University of Western Ontario Liberals as Student Director for the Ontario Young Liberals…

Crawley narrowly beat out former MP Sheila Copps.

Copps earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in French and English from King’s University College at the University of Western Ontario in London, Ontario …

Crawley succeeds Alf Apps

In 1979, [Apps] received his BA (Hons) in philosophy and economics at Huron University College, an affiliated college of the University of Western Ontario.

Apps succeeded Doug Ferguson

… he received a Bachelor of Commerce degree at the University of Ottawa and a law degree from the University of Western Ontario.

Ferguson also ran, unsuccessfully, in London, Ont. and has been a lawyer there for 20 years.

Ferguson succeeded Michael Eizenga

Eizenga earned his B.A. (Hons.) at Huron University College (an affiliated college of theUniversity of Western Ontario.) … Since 1988 he has held several positions at the University of Western Ontario

Stephen LeDrew was prez before Eizenga but, I’m afraid I don’t know where Stephen when to school. Before LeDrew, Dan Hays was party president but Hays went to U of T and Univ of Alberta.

So did the Liberals really vote for change this weekend 🙂 ?
