They may have had a disastrous decade federally, sinking to the third party in the House of Commons, in the province’s, Liberals are on a roll.
Starting with Stephen McNeil in Nova Scotia last fall, and Philippe Couillard in Quebec and Kathleen Wynne in Ontario this spring (below), it’s been one Liberal majority after another. (If you believe Christy Clark is a Liberal in the same vein as McNeil, Couillard, and Wynne — and I, for one, do not believe she belongs in that same political category and, in fact, belongs in a category that likely includes Saskatchewan Party leader Brad Wall — you could extend this Liberal win streak back to the spring of 2013.)
Next up to deliver a speech like Wynne’s? Brian Gallant of the New Brunswick Liberals. New Brunswick has legislation that fixes its provincial elections and the next one will be held this fall. The incumbent Premier is David Alward, a Progressive Conservative and, though there are only a handful of polls done in that province (and most of those by Don Mills of Halifax-based Corporate Research Associates), Alward has been well behind of Gallant for most of them including one earlier this month which found just 28% support for his party versus 53% for the Liberals.
Today, Gallant officially accepted the nomination in the riding of Shediac Bay-Dieppe and he did it at well-attended event with most, if not all, of the NB Liberals who will seek a seat in the legislature in Fredericton this fall.

On occasion of Gallant’s nomination, his party released an ad (above) introducing the 32-year-old to the province.

Im sorry I hope we don’t another liberal majoriy. this one here in Ontario I just cant believe that people would vote for someone who have been covering up in scandal. and how I have to is say shame on the people of Ontario. I guess they don’t value honestyand truth. without these thing How can we trust a govement like that.
Ontario is a democracy and people have spoken, we do not want Tea-Bag politics or American stooges like Hudak, this is why he was defeated.
Brian Gallant – a humbled and honored Liberal? He is just kidding of course. He is certainly very glad to be allotted a place at the trough and is now starting to plan how he can follow wynne and do his damndest to bankrupt the province.
