Carroll to ETHI committee: Relax, I'll be there when I'm better

The House of Commons Standing Committee on Access to Information, Privacy and Ethics wishes to have Adam Carroll appear before it on the Vikileaks30 matter. Carroll is the former Liberal party staffer who confessed to being behind that Twitter account. Here is the response to the committee’s request from Carroll’s lawyer Paul Champ:

  1. Well what did he do that was illegal? Divorce proceedings are a matter of public record(why that is is I don’t understand, but that’s another matter). What law did he break or for tht matter what ethical standard, since none apply to matters of public record.

    I say just go to the stupid waste of taxpayers time and money and the people on the committee who are just trying to look like they do something besides yell during Question Period and answer the following ways:

    1. Yes I was the leak.
    2. No Vic Toews divorce was a matter of public record so no law was broken.
    3. No I don’t think it was unethical.
    4. That’s your opinion and that’s all it is.
    5. I’ve already answered that question.
    6. I don’t deal in hypotheticals therefore I will not answer one.
    7. That’s all the time I have for you, please excuse me and have a good day.

    Im give this the same weight all the Conservative pundits give the Robocall scandal. Time to move on from faux outrage.
